Pocket Snow Globe
// a cozy idle game — for iPhone and iPad
Stir up a flurry, watch it settle, and slowly fill a little glass world with the things that belong in it. Then move on to the next one. There are eighteen.
Eighteen little worlds
- Real places and imagined ones. Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Rome, Cairo, New Orleans, San Francisco, Atlanta, Birmingham — and then Atlantis, Avalon, Mount Olympus, El Dorado.
- Every scene is drawn in code. Not one photograph, not one imported image — every tower, awning and drift is a shape placed by hand, which is why the snow settles on all of it properly.
- Each globe has its own four pieces to find, its own sky, and its own stand — brass, walnut, silver, frosted glass.
A quiet loop
- Stir the globe for snowflakes, or just leave it. Pieces you place keep making snowflakes while the app is closed.
- Advance when a globe is full, and keep a permanent bonus for the rest of the winter.
- Begin a New Winter when it slows down: bank everything as holiday spirit and spend it in the Workshop on upgrades that carry into every winter after.
Kind about it
- No banners, no interrupting ads. The only ads are optional rewarded ones you have to go and tap. Nothing is locked behind them.
- One purchase, if you want it — a permanent doubling. That's the whole shop.
- No timers, no energy, no streak you can break. It is a snow globe. It waits.
- Your globes follow you. Progress backs up to your own iCloud with no account and no sign-up, so a new phone picks up where you left off.
Made to be looked at
Take a picture of any globe you've filled and share it — the whole scene, the way you built it.
