Privacy Policy — Pocket Snow Globe

Pocket Snow Globe is an idle game made by Had Games. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What we collect

No accounts, and nothing that identifies you. Pocket Snow Globe has no sign-in and no servers of our own. Your globes, your snowflakes and your collection live on your device, and — if you have iCloud switched on — a copy is kept in your own private iCloud storage, so your progress survives changing phones or reinstalling. That copy belongs to your Apple account; we have no access to it and no server of our own that ever sees it.

Advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. They are rewarded ads only — there are no banners and no ads that interrupt you. You are never shown one unless you tap a button asking for it, and nothing in the game is locked behind watching one.

To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general usage data. On iOS, the app asks for tracking permission (the standard Apple prompt) before any of this happens:

— If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier.
— If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads and no cross-app tracking identifier is used.

Either way, the game plays exactly the same. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

In the UK and the EEA, Google's consent form appears before any ads are requested, and you can change your answer at any time from Menu → Settings → Privacy options inside the game.

If you are in the United States and would prefer your data not be used for personalized advertising, declining Apple's tracking prompt achieves that — you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized and no cross-app identifier is used. You can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can also email us at the address below to ask about your data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played — how many people are playing, which screens they visit, how far they get, and roughly where in the world they are (country level, from the IP address; we never store your IP ourselves). This is measured against an app-generated identifier that exists only for this app. It is not your name, your email, your Apple ID, or your advertising identifier, and it is never combined with anything that identifies you.

We look at this in aggregate — "how many players reached their second globe", not "what did this person do". It exists so we know which parts of the game are working and which are losing people.

In the UK and the EEA, analytics is switched off until you answer Google's consent form, and it stays off if you decline. Note that Apple's tracking prompt is a separate thing that covers advertising identifiers — it does not govern this, which is why consent is asked for in its own right. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details.

There is no third party involved: whether you own the one purchase is answered by the App Store itself, so it keeps working across reinstalls and new devices without us storing anything about it.

Photos

The game can render a picture of your globe to share. The image is made on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet — where it goes after that is entirely your choice, and we never receive a copy.

Children

Pocket Snow Globe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new date.
