Privacy Policy — Pocket Snow Globe

This policy covers Pocket Snow Globe, an idle game by Had Games, and the data it handles.

What we collect

Pocket Snow Globe has no accounts and no servers of our own. Your save is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on, a copy is also stored in your own iCloud account so you can restore it on a new device. We can't access that copy.

Advertising

The game shows rewarded ads through Google AdMob. An ad only plays when you tap a button that offers one. There are no banner ads and no ads that play on their own, and nothing in the game requires watching an ad.

To serve and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device, including its advertising identifier, IP address and general usage data. The game shows Apple's tracking prompt before any ads load:

• If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier.
• If you decline, ads are not personalized and no cross-app identifier is used.

The game works the same either way. Google describes how it handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

In the UK and the European Economic Area, Google's consent form appears before any ads are requested. You can change your answer at any time in Menu → Settings → Privacy options.

In the United States, declining Apple's tracking prompt stops your data from being used for personalized ads. You will still see the optional ads, without personalization. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or email us to ask about your data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to see how the game is used: how many people play, which screens they open, how far they get, whether they buy the Golden Snow Shaker, and their country, which is worked out from the IP address. We do not store IP addresses ourselves. The data is tied to an identifier created for this app only. It is not your name, email address, Apple ID or advertising identifier, and we do not combine it with anything that identifies you.

We only look at totals, such as how many players reached their second globe.

In the UK and the European Economic Area, analytics stays off until you answer Google's consent form, and stays off if you decline. Apple's tracking prompt only covers advertising identifiers, so analytics asks for consent separately. Google describes how it handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. The App Store also keeps the record of what you've bought, so the purchase works after reinstalling or on a new device without us storing anything.

Photos

The game can make a picture of a globe for you to share. The picture is created on your device and passed to the iOS share sheet. We don't receive a copy.

Children

Pocket Snow Globe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
