Common questions
Does it keep going while the app is closed?
Yes. Pieces you've placed keep making snowflakes while you're away, and up to
two hours banks automatically — more once you've bought Long Winter in the
Workshop, which adds two hours a level.
What carries over when I begin a New Winter?
Your holiday spirit, everything you've bought in the Workshop, and your
collection record. Your snowflakes, your pieces and your globe progress are
cleared — that's the trade, and the Workshop upgrades make the next winter
climb faster than the last.
Does my progress sync between devices?
Yes. Your save is backed up automatically to iCloud using your Apple ID — no
account, no sign-up. Install Pocket Snow Globe on another device signed into
the same Apple ID and your globes pick up where they left off. (Requires
iCloud to be switched on for Pocket Snow Globe in Settings.)
My progress is gone.
Reinstall the app on a device signed into your Apple ID and your iCloud copy
restores automatically. If the two ever disagree, the game keeps whichever
save has more progress in it — never the merely newer one. If it doesn't come
back, email us before you start over.
I bought the Golden Snow Shaker and it's not showing.
Open Menu → Settings → Restore purchases, or the Restore button in
the shop. It's a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID, so it comes back on
any device signed into the same account. If it still doesn't appear,
force-quit the app and reopen it once, then email us.
The snow makes me feel unwell.
Turn on Menu → Settings → Reduce motion. The falling snow and the
drifting scene both stop, and the game plays exactly the same.
I'm in the UK or the EU and want to change my privacy choices.
Menu → Settings → Privacy options reopens Google's consent form, and
your new answer applies straight away.
I don't want personalized ads.
Decline Apple's tracking prompt, or turn it off later in iOS Settings →
Privacy & Security → Tracking. You'll still see the same optional
rewarded ads, just not personalized ones.
A globe looks wrong, or something's broken.
Please email us with a screenshot — it's the fastest way to get it fixed, and
the art especially benefits from a second pair of eyes.
