Common questions
Does my garden grow while the app is closed?
Yes — up to 3 hours banks automatically, and the Greenhouse can extend
that. Anything past the cap can be topped up with an optional rewarded
ad.
What carries over when I reseed?
Bloom, and everything you've spent it on in the Greenhouse. The current
Journey's terrariums and dew are given back to the garden. That's the
trade.
Does my progress sync between devices?
Yes. Your save is backed up automatically to iCloud using your Apple ID —
no account, no sign-up. Install Pocket Terrarium on another device signed
into the same Apple ID and your garden picks up where it left off.
(Requires iCloud enabled for Pocket Terrarium in Settings.)
My progress is gone.
Reinstall the app on a device signed into your Apple ID and your iCloud
backup restores automatically. If it doesn't, email us before starting
over — we may be able to help.
I bought the Golden Watering Can on a new device.
Open the menu, tap Shop, and tap Restore purchases at the
bottom. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so it will come back at no
charge.
A critter won't appear.
Critters visit on their own schedule and only in the terrarium they belong
to. Leave that jar on screen for a while — and remember some are rarer
than others.
Can I turn off the motion?
Yes. Settings has a Reduce Motion switch that stills the ambient animation,
and a Haptics switch.
