Privacy Policy — Pocket Terrarium

Pocket Terrarium is a cozy idle game made by Had Games. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What we collect

No accounts, and nothing that identifies you. Pocket Terrarium has no sign-in and no servers of our own. Your terrariums, your critters, and your Bloom live on your device, and — if you have iCloud switched on — a copy is kept in your own private iCloud storage, so your garden survives changing phones or reinstalling. That copy belongs to your Apple account; we have no access to it and no server of our own that ever sees it.

Advertising

The app offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob — you choose to watch one in exchange for a boost, and there are no banners or interstitials anywhere in the game. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect device information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general usage data.

Pocket Terrarium requests non-personalized ads only. It does not use your advertising identifier to build a profile of you across apps, which is why the game never shows Apple's tracking permission prompt — there is nothing to ask for. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

In the UK and the EEA, Google's consent form appears before any ads are requested, and you can change your answer at any time from Settings inside the game.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played — how many people are playing, which screens they visit, how far into the collection they get, and roughly where in the world they are (country level, from the IP address; we never store your IP ourselves). This is measured against an app-generated identifier that exists only for this app. It is not your name, your email, your Apple ID, or your advertising identifier, and it is never combined with anything that identifies you.

We look at this in aggregate — "how many players reached their fourth terrarium", not "what did this person do". It exists so we know which parts of the game are working and which are losing people.

Analytics is switched off until you answer Google's consent form, and it stays off if you decline — or if the form could not be shown at all. Apple's tracking prompt is a separate thing that covers advertising identifiers and does not govern this, which is why consent is asked for in its own right. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

The game has one optional purchase. It is processed entirely by Apple's App Store using Apple's own system — there is no third-party purchase or receipt service involved, nothing about your purchase is sent to us, and we never see your payment details. What the app keeps is a single flag in your local save recording that you own the upgrade.

Children

Pocket Terrarium is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new date.
