Privacy Policy — Word Quilt

Word Quilt is a word puzzle game made by Had Games. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Your game data

There are no accounts and no sign-in. Your puzzles, postcards, journal, coins and settings live on your device, and — if you have iCloud switched on — a copy is kept in your own private iCloud storage, so your progress survives changing phones or reinstalling. That copy belongs to your Apple account; we have no access to it and no server of our own that ever sees it. The game never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or location.

Analytics

To understand how the game is played and improve it, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics. This collects anonymous usage information: gameplay events (for example, onboarding finished, a puzzle solved, session length, which screens were viewed), basic device information (model, operating system version, country-level region), and a random per-install identifier that is not linked to your identity.

We only ever look at this in aggregate — "how many players finished the first chapter" — never to identify anyone, and never to build advertising profiles. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob: a banner and optional rewarded videos. Rewarded ads are always opt-in, and the banner can be removed permanently with a one-time purchase.

Your choice about personalized ads. On iOS the app asks for tracking permission using Apple's standard prompt:

— If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized using your device's advertising identifier.
— If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads and no cross-app tracking identifier is used.

Either way, the game plays exactly the same.

In the UK and the EEA, Google's consent form appears before any ads are requested, and you can change your answer at any time from the game's settings.

To serve and measure ads, Google may process technical information about your device such as an advertising identifier, IP address, and coarse usage data — see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Purchases

In-app purchases — removing ads, the coin doubler, fabric themes, and tips — are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details.

Feedback

If you use the in-game "Suggest a word · Report a problem" option, it simply opens your own mail app — nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and we receive only what you write (plus the app version noted in the draft). We use it solely to reply to you and improve the game.

Children

Word Quilt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new date.
