Privacy Policy — Escape Sequence
// last updated: August 2026
Escape Sequence is a puzzle game made by Had Games. This policy explains what data the app handles.
What we collect
Nothing, directly. Escape Sequence has no accounts and no sign-in. Your level, lives, hints, and purchases live on your device, and — if you have iCloud switched on — a copy is kept in your own private iCloud storage, so your progress survives changing phones or reinstalling. That copy belongs to your Apple account; we have no access to it and no server of our own that ever sees it. The game never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or location.
Advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general usage data. On iOS, the app asks for tracking permission (the standard Apple prompt) before any of this happens:
— If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized using
your advertising identifier.
— If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads and no
cross-app tracking identifier is used.
Either way, the game plays exactly the same. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
In the UK and the EEA, Google's consent form appears before any ads are requested, and you can change your answer at any time from inside the game.
Purchases
In-app purchases (unlimited lives, remove ads, hints) are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details.
Children
Escape Sequence is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new date.
